Allergen Policy

How customer allergy disclosure and chef allergen disclosure work in the booking flow.

Last updated May 17, 2026

No allergy-safe guarantee

Meal Prep Direct does not claim that meals or kitchens are allergy-safe. Menu packages may disclose known allergens, may-contain risks, or cross-contact risks, but that does not eliminate all risk.

Customers with severe or life-threatening allergies should use extra caution and may decide not to book if the chef, ingredients, kitchen conditions, or cross-contact controls are not acceptable.

Customer disclosure

Customers must disclose hard allergens, allergy severity where relevant, household allergies, and ingredients that must be avoided before booking. Checkout or booking may be blocked when allergen acknowledgement is missing.

Customers should not rely on assumptions. If an ingredient, oil, spice blend, packaged product, or cross-contact concern matters, the customer should disclose it and ask before booking.

Chef disclosure

Chefs must disclose known allergens in menu items and menu packages. Missing allergen data can block package publication or booking.

Chefs should not use restricted claims such as allergy-safe or allergen-safe unless marketplace policy and verified data specifically allow it.
